WHAT IS SCIENCE OLYMPIAD?
Science Olympiad competitions are like academic track meets, consisting of a series of 23 team events in each division (Division B is middle school; Division C is high school). Each year, a portion of the events are rotated to reflect the ever-changing nature of genetics, earth science, chemistry, anatomy, physics, geology, engineering, and technology.

The East Grand Rapids High School Science Olympiad Team upholds the tradition of excellence with the mission to increase the awareness and interest in STEM topics throughout the community.
Located in East Grand Rapids, Michigan, the team was founded in 2013 by Doctor Elizabeth Neubig, a former parent whose dedication and passion have taken the team far.
The team qualified for the state tournament for the first time in 2019 and is looking at a very bright future.
We are here to inspire students in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics by solving problems while studying, building and competing for Science Olympiad. We are on the path as pioneers of our future, to navigate successfully in a global community; leading us all to a healthier, happier, and smarter world, and to continue our school's tradition of excellence.
